IFF- San Francisco to host Iran’s ‘The Badger’

Iran’s ‘The Badger’ is to be screened at the Iranian Film Festival-San Francisco in the US.

Iranian feature ‘The Badger’ has been slated to take part in the Iranian Film Festival-San Francisco (IFF-San Francisco) in the US.

Kazem Mollaee’s feature film will be among the 60 films from Iran to be screened at the 14th edition of the US event.

Besides, this year the fest will have films from other countries, including the US, the UK, Italy, Canada, Germany, France, China, Bulgaria, and Tunisia.

The movie, starring Vishka Asayesh, tells the story of a 40-year-old woman. Her name is Soudeh Sharifzadegan and she is facing a difficult challenge in her private life at the time near her second marriage.

In addition to Asayesh, the flick's cast list includes names such as Hassan Majouni, Mehraveh Sharifinia, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Reza Behboudi and Gohar Kheirandish.

‘The Badger’ has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Shanghai International Film Festival in China and the Austin Film Festival in the US.

This year’s IFF-San Francisco, which is the first independent Iranian film festival outside of Iran, is set to be held on September 18-19.
